About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position for the PHI1101-E00 course, Reasoning and Critical Thinking, during the 2026 Fall Semester at the University of Ottawa. The position is under the CUPE classification. Two positions are available, with an expected enrollment of 200 students. The work is to be performed at the Main Campus. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

• Baccalaureate in Philosophy or related field
• Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.

Responsibilities

• Correcting assignments and exams
• Attending lectures in class and/or online
• Consulting in person and/or online with individual students
• Proctoring exams
