About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for the Data Science Lab Course, SDS 3386, during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course is project-based and covers data manipulation, cleaning, exploratory data analysis, visualization, regression and classification methods, and report writing. The role involves helping students with Python labs and projects, and marking labs, projects, and other assignments. The number of positions and hours offered are subject to final enrollment in the course.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of data science topics (e.g. data cleaning, descriptive and predictive analysis, visualization)
- Good knowledge of Python, particularly used for data science applications
- Experience working with Jupyter Notebooks
