About The Position
This position is for a Corrector for the Accounting Information Systems Auditing course (ADM4346) during the 2026 Fall Semester at the Telfer School of Management. The role involves marking midterms and potentially other grading tasks. The total expected work hours are 17, with the possibility of an increase of 10% to 30% due to registration. The corrector must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course, including the grading of the final exam and calculation of final grades. The method of teaching or working may change due to health or other reasons. All University of Ottawa employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Accounting Information Systems Auditing
- Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently
- Minimum C.G.P.A. of 7.0
- Minimum grade of A- in ADM 4346 or its equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of both auditing and accounting information systems
- Access to a computer, internet, microphone and webcam
- Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course
Nice To Haves
- Experience with online course delivery
- Experience with online videoconferencing environment (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
- Preference will be given to higher grades
- Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course
- Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in Telfer programs
