About The Position

This position is for a Corrector for the course ADM3378: Emerging Topics in Management Information Systems during the 2026 Fall Semester at the Telfer School of Management. The role involves marking final exams and group assignments. The total expected work hours are 39. The hourly rate will be $30.53 for undergraduate students and $36.63 for graduate students. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. These rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. The language of work is English. The position requires the candidate to be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course, including the grading period. Requirements

  • Ability to apply grading rubrics
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently
  • Minimum C.G.P.A. of 7.0
  • Minimum grade of A- in ADM3378 or its equivalent
  • Minimum grade of A- in at least 2 other 3 credit courses in MIS field, level 3000 or above
  • Solid knowledge of MIS concept
  • Solid knowledge of emerging information technologies
  • Solid knowledge of core management concepts (MIS, Management, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, HR)
  • Familiarity with the case study methodology
  • Good English skills
  • Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course (with the exception of official University holidays), including through the grading of the final exam and calculation of final grades by the professor.

  • Experience with online course delivery
  • Experience with online videoconferencing environment (ex. Microsoft Teams)
  • Preference will be given to higher grades
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course
