About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the CHM2353 LAB section 65H during the Fall 2026 semester at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences. The role involves assisting students in and out of the laboratory, marking laboratory reports, giving tutorials, preparing for labs, and proctoring the final exam. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines in the laboratory. The hiring process will be governed by the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
Requirements
- Candidate must have 1 full year of general chemistry
- Candidate must have 1 full year of organic chemistry
- Candidate must have CHM 2353, CHM 3350 or their equivalents
- Successful completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops is required
- All those who are not Chemistry graduate students will be required to write a test to qualify
Responsibilities
