About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position for the EAS1101-D00 course, "Indigeneity in Canada", during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is with the Institute of Indigenous Research and Studies within the Faculty of Arts. The role involves assisting the supervisor with specific duties which may include grading exams and assignments, and proctoring. Priority will be given to candidates with knowledge of Indigenous studies. Experience with the Brightspace platform is an asset. Teaching assistants must be available during the scheduled class times. The number of hours or positions may vary based on enrollment. The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement.

Requirements

• Availability during scheduled class times
• Knowledge (gained through experience or studies) of Indigenous studies
• Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University
