About The Position

A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist a Course Supervisor. This role involves assisting the Professor in preparing, grading, and reviewing homework sets, assignments, quizzes, and exams. The Teaching Assistant will also be responsible for preparing, conducting, and leading tutorials, reading course materials, and communicating with students regarding MyCourses.

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of optical and electrical phenomena and their applications is required.
  • The candidate should have taken this course or a similar course and received an A grade.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Must be willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
  • Must have English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Professor in preparing, grading, and reviewing HW sets & other assignments, quizzes, exams.
  • Prepare, conduct, and lead tutorials.
  • Read course materials.
  • Communication with students regarding MyCourses.
