About The Position

The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Business Administration is seeking an open-rank, non-tenure-track Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, or Teaching Professor for the Managerial Studies Department. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about teaching and fostering student success at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The Managerial Studies Department offers undergraduate degrees in Management, Human Resource Management, and Entrepreneurship, and teaches the integrated capstone course for undergraduate business students. The department also contributes to various MBA programs, including a new online MBA and an upcoming online MSHRM program. UIC is a major urban public research university, the largest in Chicago, serving over 34,000 diverse students and recognized as a Minority Serving Institution (MSI), an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPSI), and a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). Requirements

A doctorate/terminal degree in business or a related field.
Past experience in effectively teaching management-related courses at a four-year college or university.
A demonstrated record of professional and/or scholarly accomplishment.

Responsibilities

Teaching courses to undergraduate and/or graduate students in areas such as Business and Organization Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, and Strategic Management.
Teaching topics related to new and emerging data analysis tools and related decision-making.
Providing service to the department, college, and university.
Contributing to the broader mission of the College through industry outreach, student engagement and activities, and professional development/scholarly activities.
Performing other professional and/or academic activities and special projects as assigned.
