Part-Time Teacher
About The Position
LearnWell is seeking a part-time teacher in Irvine, California, for the school year. The teacher will work in a behavioral health facility, providing academic support to patients ages 12–17 as they receive treatment. Instruction takes place in a small classroom, typically serving 8 to 15 students at a time. The role includes delivering daily lesson plans, providing individualized assistance, communicating about student progress as needed, adapting teaching strategies to support student success, and maintaining accurate attendance and session reports. The position requires 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, either 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution.
- Active California teaching license.
- Comfort working with students in grades 7–12.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
- Reliable transportation.
