About The Position
LearnWell provides on-site educational services in hospitals to help school-age patients continue their education during treatment and successfully reintegrate into the classroom. The Part-Time Teacher will work in a fast-paced behavioral health facility in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, supporting school-age patients in a small classroom setting while they receive treatment. Most classes include 8 to 15 students. This role is a 20-hour-per-week commitment during the school year, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution.
- Massachusetts state teaching license.
- Comfort working with adolescent-aged students.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
- Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
- Provide individualized assistance to students.
- Communicate about student progress as needed.
- Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to support student success.
- Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
