About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time high school math teacher to join a collaborative and supportive school community. The teacher will inspire and educate students by delivering engaging mathematics instruction and creating a positive learning environment. The role includes a 45-minute class each day, scheduled at varying times between 8:30 and 11:00 AM, with occasional professional development and administrative meetings. The position may offer increased hours in future school years.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Strong content knowledge in high school mathematics, especially algebra.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
• Availability to teach a 45-minute class each day at varying times between 8:30 and 11:00 AM.

• Previous teaching experience at the high school level.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the school's math curriculum and standards.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Deliver dynamic and interactive math instruction to high school students.
• Foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical literacy.
• Explain mathematical concepts clearly and facilitate hands-on learning experiences when applicable.
• Assess student learning through quizzes, tests, class participation, and other methods.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Communicate with parents as needed.
• Establish a positive classroom environment and enforce school policies and procedures while promoting respect and cooperation.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in math education.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and occasional administrative meetings.
