About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Math & Science Teacher to provide one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor instruction to each student’s needs and learning style, using a gradual-release approach to support mastery, confidence, and academic success. The role offers a flexible schedule and does not require lesson planning, parent conferences, or outside work such as grading. Professional development opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area, such as Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or Biology.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge.
- Proficiency with G-Suite and learning management software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, if applicable, and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching certification; not required.
- Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
