About The Position

Teachers at Apple Valley KinderCare implement KinderCare's curriculum in a manner consistent with each child's unique needs and create safe, nurturing environments where children can play and learn. They partner with parents to provide high-quality care and education, and work with center staff and leadership to support goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement. Teachers cultivate positive relationships with families, colleagues, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. KinderCare offers investment in teachers' careers and recognizes their commitment to children and families. The listed pay is $16.00 per hour. In Minnesota, the company currently provides an additional $3.00 per hour for classroom hours through the Minnesota Great Start Compensation Support Program.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or be willing to obtain them.
• CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Able to assume postures at low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children.
• Able to see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with children.
• Able to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
