About The Position

Teachers at East Lansing KinderCare implement KinderCare’s curriculum in ways that meet each child’s unique needs and create safe, nurturing environments for children to play and learn. They partner with parents to provide high-quality care and education, and collaborate with center staff and leadership to support goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement. Teachers build positive relationships with families, colleagues, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. The role supports children’s learning and development while contributing to a welcoming experience for families and the success of the center.

Requirements

Outstanding customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
Meet state-specific qualifications for the role, or be willing to obtain them.
Have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
Able to assume low-level postures to maintain physical and visual contact with children.
Able to see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with them.
Able to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and parents.
