About The Position

Teacher position for the 2027–2028 school year serving elementary grades PreK–5 at RCPS. This is a 10-month position and is open until filled. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited college or university and possess, or be eligible to acquire, the appropriate license(s) and/or endorsement(s) required for the position by the Virginia Department of Education and School Board.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of the subject(s) taught.
• Thorough knowledge of elementary, secondary, or special education principles, practices, and procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of effective teaching principles and methodology.
• Thorough knowledge of school division rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior.
• Ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, administration, and parents.
• Graduate of an accredited college or university.
• Possess, or be eligible to acquire, appropriate licenses and/or endorsements required for the position by the Virginia Department of Education and School Board.
