About The Position

Brooke Charter Schools is hiring an Elementary Teacher for the 2027–2028 school year. The teacher leads a classroom and builds strong relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth. Teachers lead classes of 16–23 students and teach all subjects, except Science in grades 3–5 classrooms, using whole-class instruction and targeted individual support. The role includes regular data meetings, approximately 20 administrative observations, and nearly 300 hours of professional development during the school year. Daily hours are 7:15 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. The salary range is $74,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience. The role is based within a network of public charter schools serving grades K–12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. The expected start is July 2027.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 2 years of experience as a lead teacher.
• Commitment to fostering diversity through anti-racist practices and removing bias.
• Belief that great teaching closes the achievement gap and unwavering belief in students’ capabilities.
• Professional, warm, and collaborative approach with students, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to start in July 2027.
