About The Position

Under the supervision of the Principal, the Grade 3 Teacher plans, organizes, and implements an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and reach their full potential.

Requirements

• Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with an appropriate endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students according to the appropriate curriculum, including assessment and review processes.
• Plan, develop, write, and implement lesson plans consistent with school district and state education requirements.
• Keep records of student achievement and track students’ abilities.
• Collaborate with staff and other teachers.
• Comply with and enforce school rules and school board policies and procedures.
• Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on committees as appropriate.
• Perform other school duties and assignments as appointed.
