About The Position

The Sanitation team member cleans and sanitizes processing equipment and processing areas within their assigned area. The work involves cleaning detergents and chemicals in a wet environment that may be hot or cold. It is fast-paced, performed under tight deadlines, and requires attention to detail. The position is listed as Grade 3.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sanitation and/or processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the assigned area while sanitation is being performed.
• Use chemicals and cleaners to sanitize equipment according to prescribed processes and procedures.
• Use high-pressure water hoses, hot water, and hand scrubbers or brushes to clean equipment.
• Move in, around, and on top of equipment to reach areas that need cleaning.
• Work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines and prevent delays to shift startup.
• Follow safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out and use of Fall Protection equipment when appropriate.
