About The Position

The Sanitation team member is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment and processing areas within their assigned area. The role involves working in a wet environment that may be hot or cold and around cleaning detergents and chemicals. Work is fast-paced, performed to tight deadlines, and requires attention to detail to avoid delaying shift startup.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sanitation and/or processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the assigned area while sanitation is being performed.
• Use chemicals and cleaners to sanitize equipment in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures.
• Use high-pressure water hoses, hot water, and hand scrubbers or brushes to clean equipment.
• Maneuver in, around, and on top of equipment to reach areas that need cleaning.
• Work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines and ensure shift startup is not delayed.
• Follow safety requirements, including using Lock Out Tag Out procedures and Fall Protection equipment when appropriate.
