About The Position
LearnWell is seeking a full-time teacher for the school year at a behavioral health facility in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The teacher will provide academic support to adolescent students ages 13–18 receiving treatment, in a small classroom setting. Class sizes are generally 8–12 students. The role is a 40-hour-per-week commitment, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution.
- Massachusetts teaching license.
- Comfort working with adolescent students.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
- Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver daily lesson plans.
- Provide individualized assistance to students.
- Communicate about student progress as needed.
- Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to support student success.
- Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
