About The Position

The Learning Experience is seeking a caring, energetic Preschool Teacher to help open a new preschool room and support young learners as they explore the world around them. The role focuses on creating a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment; implementing the hands-on L.E.A.P. Curriculum®; supporting early learning and development; and building strong relationships with families through daily updates, photos, and milestone sharing. The teacher collaborates with other teachers and center leadership, models early childhood education best practices, guides assistant teachers, and ensures compliance with state licensing and safety standards.

Requirements

At least 6 months of professional childcare or teaching experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center.
High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and infant milestones.
Must meet all Connecticut state requirements for an Early Childhood Teacher position.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

One year of professional childcare or teaching experience is preferred.
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities
