About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is hiring a full-time Assistant Teacher (also referred to as an Assistant Guide) for its Deerbrook school. The role supports children ages 0–6 in a mixed-age Montessori classroom, including Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House environments for ages 3–6. The Assistant Teacher helps maintain a calm, engaging classroom where children can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Working alongside Lead Guides and other team members, the Assistant Teacher prepares intentional learning spaces and supports individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care. The role contributes to children’s independence, confidence, and love of learning, while offering opportunities to develop professionally and grow within the Montessori approach.

Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• A genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Montessori experience.
