About The Position

The Learning Experience is hiring a caring, energetic Teacher to help open a new toddler room. The role involves creating a nurturing environment where children can explore and learn, implementing the L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, building relationships with families, and collaborating with teachers and center leadership. The Teacher also models early childhood education practices, guides assistant teachers, and ensures compliance with state licensing and safety standards.

Requirements

At least 6 months of professional childcare or teaching experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center.
High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and infant milestones.
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Must meet all Connecticut state requirements for an Early Childhood Teacher position.
Positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

One year of professional childcare or teaching experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center preferred.
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities
