Full Time Toddler Teacher

About The Position

The Learning Experience Enfield is seeking a caring, energetic Teacher to help open a new toddler room. The role involves creating a happy, nurturing environment where children, families, and teachers can grow together. The teacher supports children’s early learning and development using the hands-on L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, builds relationships with families, collaborates with colleagues and center leadership, and helps maintain a safe, positive classroom that meets state requirements.

Requirements

At least 6 months of professional childcare or teaching experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center.
High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and infant milestones.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Must meet all Connecticut state requirements for an Early Childhood Teacher position.
Positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

One year of professional childcare or teaching experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center preferred.
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment for children.
Implement the hands-on L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to support early learning and development.
Share daily updates, photos, and milestones with families.
Collaborate with other teachers and center leadership to maintain a positive and supportive workplace.
Model early childhood education best practices and help guide assistant teachers in the classroom.
Ensure compliance with state licensing and safety standards.
