About The Position

The Teacher Education Center (TEC) Coordinator provides leadership, programmatic coordination, and administrative oversight for the School of Education's Teacher Education Center, established through the Title III Advancing Teacher Preparation Pathways initiative. The coordinator supports recruitment, retention, licensure attainment, clinical experiences, and educator workforce development initiatives designed to increase the number of highly qualified teachers prepared to serve Arkansas schools. As a 12-month faculty appointment, the coordinator will maintain a limited teaching load while providing leadership for center operations, candidate support services, residency programming, certification preparation, and strategic partnerships. The position supports the School of Education's mission, Arkansas Department of Education requirements, and accreditation standards.

Requirements

Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in P–12 education, teacher preparation, academic advising, student support services, or program coordination.
Knowledge of Arkansas educator licensure requirements.
Demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with university faculty, school district personnel, and community stakeholders.
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

Doctoral degree in Education or related field.
Experience with educator preparation programs and clinical partnerships.
Experience with accreditation processes, including CAEP and state review.
Experience coordinating grant-funded initiatives.
Knowledge of Science of Reading, High-Quality Instructional Materials, and teacher residency models.
