About The Position

Cadence Education is seeking an enthusiastic Center Float and Teacher Assistant to support children and educators in a nurturing early-learning environment. The role involves filling in across the center during business hours and helping create a positive, engaging space for young learners. The assistant works with educators to deliver an age-appropriate curriculum, support children's interests and development, promote safe and positive social behavior, and share daily milestones with parents. The position is based in Cheshire, Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Follow Cadence Education’s philosophy and work with the team to foster a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Document and share children's daily milestones with parents.
• Collaborate with educators to deliver a lively, age-appropriate curriculum that sparks curiosity.
• Respond to children's interests, keep them safe, and extend their play through language, toys, and activities.
• Model and encourage age-appropriate social behaviors.
• Share ideas for a balanced daily schedule, including quiet and active times, indoor and outdoor activities, and fine and gross motor activities.
• Provide flexible support across the center during business hours.
