About The Position
Shepherd's Flock Preschool in Arlington Heights is hiring a part-time Teacher Assistant. You'll help care for toddlers ages 18 months to 2.5 years in a nurturing, structured classroom. As a Teacher Assistant, you'll work alongside the Lead Teacher to run daily classroom activities, keep the room safe and engaging, and give toddlers consistent, attentive care throughout the morning.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience caring for children
- Comfortable working with toddlers ages 18 months to 2.5 years
- Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
- Applicants may be subject to a background check.
- Employees in this position must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher in running daily classroom activities
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Assist with daily routines, supervision, and age-appropriate activities
- Provide attentive, consistent care to toddlers ages 18 months to 2.5 years
- Work as part of a collaborative teaching team
