About The Position

At Umpqua Wonders Academy LLC, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team at our Child Care Center & Preschool. This full-time position offers a competitive wage of $15-$16 per hour to start, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within our organization. As a Teacher Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. You will assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum, observe and assess children's development, communicate effectively with parents and team members, and ensure compliance with all licensing regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred or a step 8 in the Oregon Registry
2 years of experience working in a child care or preschool setting preferred
Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Registered in the Central Background Registry

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing lesson plans and activities that promote the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of children
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns
Collaborate with team members
Maintain accurate records of attendance, daily activities, and children's progress
