About The Position
This position is for a Teacher Assistant in the Extended-Day Program, located in North Providence. It is a full-year, 30-hour per week role, with working hours from 11:15 am to 5:45 pm. The Teacher Assistant will support the Lead Teacher in various aspects of classroom management and child development.
Requirements
- AA in Early Childhood Education or a CDA with a focus in preschool
- Basic computer knowledge and skill
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Effective professional communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children age 3-5 years
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Lead Teacher with classroom curriculum
- Assisting the Lead Teacher with child observations
- Assisting the Lead Teacher with family engagement
- Maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment
- Working cooperatively with other Extended-day staff to perform duties
- Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
