Teacher Assistants Before After School
About The Position
Leading Edge seeks reliable, enthusiastic Teacher Assistants to support before- and after-school programs in the Sayreville, New Jersey area. The programs provide a safe, engaging environment where students build academic skills, confidence, and meaningful relationships. This part-time position may suit people seeking experience in education who enjoy working with elementary-aged and/or PreK children and are available during before- and after-school hours. Hours vary by location and program. Approximate morning hours are 7:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Afternoon hours are approximately 1:00 or 3:00 p.m.–6:30 p.m.; other schedules vary. Pay is $17–$18 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of childcare or education experience is preferred.
- Ability to pass all required New Jersey background clearances.
- Must be available for all scheduled hours.
- Reliable means of transportation.
- Strong communication and professionalism.

- Experience or interest in working with elementary-aged and/or PreK children.
Responsibilities
- Support daily program activities and supervise students.
- Assist with homework help and enrichment activities.
- Maintain program quality in alignment with company and state standards.
- Communicate professionally with families and school staff.
- Ensure student safety and proper ratios at all times.
- Create a positive, structured, and engaging environment.
