About The Position

Leading Edge seeks reliable, enthusiastic Teacher Assistants to support before- and after-school programs in the Sayreville, New Jersey area. The programs offer students a safe, engaging environment to build academic skills, confidence, and meaningful relationships. Hours vary by location and program. Approximate morning hours are 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday through Friday; approximate afternoon hours are 1:00 or 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Other schedules vary. Pay is $17–$18 per hour.

This part-time role may suit people available during before- and after-school hours, seeking education experience, and interested in working with elementary-aged and/or PreK children. Teacher Assistants support program activities and student supervision, homework help, and enrichment while helping maintain safety, program quality, and a positive, structured environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of childcare or education experience is preferred.
• Ability to pass all required New Jersey background clearances.
• Must be available for all scheduled hours.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Strong communication and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Support daily program activities and supervise students.
• Assist with homework help and enrichment activities.
