About The Position
The Learning Experience - Manassas City is seeking an experienced School Age Teacher to create a fun, welcoming environment for children before and after their school day. This split-shift position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with school-age children and is looking for consistent weekday morning and afternoon hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous professional childcare experience required
- Experience with school-age children strongly preferred
- Reliable and available for both portions of the split schedule
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Must meet Virginia licensing requirements for the position

Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage school-age children before and after school
- Plan age-appropriate games, art, activities, and enrichment experiences
- Support homework, reading, and quiet activities as appropriate
- Provide positive guidance and maintain consistent expectations
- Assist children with morning and afternoon transitions
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment
- Communicate professionally with families and team members
- Follow Virginia licensing and center requirements
