The Learning Experience - Owings Mills is seeking an energetic and dependable School Age Teacher to lead engaging before- and after-school experiences for our school-age children. This role is perfect for an educator who enjoys working with older children and creating an environment where they can unwind, connect with friends, complete activities, and stay engaged before and after the school day.

Requirements

Must be Maryland Preschool AND School Age Teacher qualified
Must meet Maryland Office of Child Care education, coursework, and experience requirements for the position
Reliable availability for both portions of the split shift is required
Dependable, energetic, organized, and comfortable working independently
Must meet all applicable Maryland Office of Child Care requirements

Nice To Haves

Previous professional school-age, childcare, camp, after-school, or early childhood experience preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage school-age children during before- and after-school hours
Plan age-appropriate activities, games, projects, and enrichment experiences
Support homework, literacy, STEM, creative activities, and independent interests
Encourage positive peer relationships, independence, and problem-solving
Maintain consistent routines and positive behavior guidance
Provide attentive supervision during arrivals, departures, and transitions
Maintain required attendance and classroom documentation
Build positive relationships and communicate professionally with families
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
Follow Maryland Office of Child Care licensing requirements
