Requirements
- A high school diploma.
Nice To Haves
- An associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education with one-year full time experience in a NAEYC accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher with curriculum planning to include the development of lesson plans, classroom arrangement, and enhancement of the classroom.
- Supervise the classroom and direct classroom activities.
- Facilitate a variety of learning experiences where children can manipulate and explore a variety of materials and experience success.
- Gather necessary supplies and materials ahead of time.
- Guide children in the proper care of materials.
- Acts as a positive role model.
- Observe and record children’s behavior as directed.
- Use appropriate transition techniques.
- Promote children’s learning by supporting children’s ideas and progressive skill development.
- Other duties as assigned.
