About The Position

The Lead Teacher for the 2-year-old classroom creates a nurturing, enriching environment that supports children’s early development through meaningful, age-appropriate experiences. The role puts Celebree School’s vision, mission, and values into daily classroom practice and includes guiding classroom aides as they develop confidence and skills in early childhood education. The teacher manages classroom activities and operations, supports children with gentle guidance, maintains a safe and welcoming space, and meets applicable childcare regulations and company standards. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Requirements

• Meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing State agency.
• Have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of children’s behavioral and developmental stages.
• Have knowledge of childcare licensing requirements.
• Be able to manage a classroom.
• Have strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate patience and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Guide children through daily classroom activities with gentle support.
• Manage the classroom in compliance with Office of Child Care regulations and company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents, and visitors.
• Create and implement timely, thorough, age-appropriate lesson plans in accordance with Celebree’s infant curriculum.
• Keep the classroom safe, clean, and inviting.
• Complete paperwork, electronic reports, supervision records, and attendance tracking accurately.
• Support classroom aides in their development and work in early childhood education.
