About The Position
The Lead Teacher at Celebree School™ creates a nurturing, enriching environment that supports young children’s development, growth, and exploration through age-appropriate experiences. The role incorporates the school’s vision, mission, and values into children’s daily experiences and helps classroom aides develop confidence and compassion in early childhood education. The teacher manages classroom activities and operations, creates and implements lesson plans, maintains a welcoming and safe environment, and completes required records.
Requirements
- Meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing state agency.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of children’s behavioral and developmental stages.
- Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements.
- Ability to manage a classroom.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Patience and flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Guide children through daily activities with support appropriate to their development.
- Manage the classroom in compliance with Office of Child Care regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents, and visitors.
- Create and implement thorough, timely, age-appropriate, stimulating lesson plans in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum.
- Keep the classroom safe, clean, and inviting.
- Complete paperwork, electronic reports, supervision records, and attendance tracking accurately.
- Help classroom aides develop confidence and compassion in early childhood education.
