About The Position

The TDS Malvern Clinical Operations organization is seeking a highly motivated Co-Op to support day-to-day Pilot Plant operations and manufacturing activities. This role provides hands-on experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) technology transfers, capital projects, Pilot Plant expansion activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical operations. The Co-Op will work alongside cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and project activities while developing practical experience in experimental execution, data analysis, technical documentation, and operational problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • You must not have any Summer Internship contract or other employment commitment that could interfere with the contract dates specified for this position.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret experimental or technical data.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and initiatives while delivering results.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter while contributing effectively to team goals.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous laboratory, academic research, or technical project experience.
  • Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with laboratory environments.
  • Experience with experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
  • Interest or exposure to manufacturing operations, technology transfer, New Product Introduction (NPI), or continuous improvement.
  • Interest in Pilot Plant operations and pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, student organizations, campus programs, or community involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting day-to-day Pilot Plant and manufacturing operations.
  • Supporting technology transfer activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Contributing to capital projects and Pilot Plant expansion activities.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Assisting with laboratory and technical activities associated with ongoing projects.
  • Analyzing and interpreting experimental and operational results using analytical and statistical techniques.
  • Participating in technical discussions and Design of Experiments (DOE) activities to address knowledge gaps and support project objectives.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners and actively participating in project meetings.
  • Maintaining accurate laboratory notebooks, technical documentation, and project records according to established guidelines.
  • Communicating project progress, findings, and results to relevant stakeholders.
  • Providing additional technical and project support as needed.
