About The Position

The Clinical Supply Chain (CSC) organization within Therapeutics Development and Supply supports the global supply of clinical materials across the Research & Development and Global Medical Affairs portfolios. Its activities span clinical supply manufacturing, demand forecasting, supply planning, and global distribution. The TDS Malvern Clinical Supply Chain Planning organization is seeking a highly motivated Co-Op to support planning operations with a focus on improving data accuracy, strengthening planning processes, and establishing sustainable data validation practices within SAP. This opportunity provides hands-on exposure to the role of supply chain planning within R&D drug development while allowing the Co-Op to develop analytical, problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Related business, engineering, scientific, or supply chain disciplines.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • You must not have any Summer Internship contract or other employment commitment that could interfere with the contract dates specified for this position.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated process improvement mindset and interest in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Ability to work with data, identify inconsistencies, and support data validation activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and project activities while delivering results.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience or familiarity with supply chain planning or related supply chain processes.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly SAP.
  • Experience working with planning systems and performing data review, validation, or clean-up activities.
  • Interest in pharmaceutical R&D, clinical supply chain, demand forecasting, supply planning, or clinical supply operations.
  • Experience or interest in process improvement and developing standardized or repeatable processes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to summarize and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, student organizations, campus programs, or community involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Clinical Supply Chain Planning activities and gaining exposure to supply chain processes across the R&D drug development lifecycle.
  • Leading planning data clean-up activities and helping improve the accuracy and consistency of planning information.
  • Assessing current-state SAP planning data and identifying opportunities to improve data quality.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of routine SAP data validation processes.
  • Partnering with colleagues across Clinical Supply Chain Planning and other cross-functional teams to develop solutions to real-world supply chain challenges.
  • Applying analytical and creative problem-solving approaches to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting planning process improvements that enhance efficiency, data quality, and decision-making.
  • Managing assigned project activities while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Communicating project progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Developing and delivering a final Co-Op presentation highlighting project outcomes and learnings.
  • Providing additional project and planning support as needed.
