About The Position

The Co-op term is six months typically from January to June, 2027 (flexible). Full time requirement (40 hours per week) Fully On-site. Purpose: The TDS Bus Ops Co-Op will support business operations, budget management, capital tracking, data analytics, dashboard development, and process improvement initiatives. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience at the intersection of science and business while supporting decision-making, operational excellence, and strategic planning within Innovative Medicine.

Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in majors include Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Analytics, Management, or related fields.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • You must not have any Summer Internship contract or other employment commitment that could interfere with the contract dates specified for this position.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, presentation, and leadership skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and contribute effectively to team objectives.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Monday.com, dashboard development, data visualization, analytics, budgeting, capital tracking, process automation, and AI tools is highly desirable.
  • Prior laboratory, research, experimental design, and scientific data analysis experience are preferred, as well as demonstrated leadership through campus organizations, community involvement, or other extracurricular activities.
  • Interest in Cell & Gene Therapy, Protein Development, biotechnology, business operations, and strategic decision-making is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generating budget forecast vs. actual reports and supporting financial tracking activities.
  • Maintaining budget trackers, asset registers, and monitoring capital spend against approved budgets.
  • Standardizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and developing leadership scorecards.
  • Creating, automating, and maintaining dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Monday.com, UCT, and other business platforms.
  • Performing data analysis to support business decisions and operational improvements.
  • Maintaining capital equipment purchase lists and tracking fixed assets.
  • Documenting and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational processes.
  • Participating in meetings with internal and external stakeholders and providing project support as needed.
  • Maintaining documentation according to required guidelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborating across scientific and business teams to understand organizational priorities and explore career paths within Cell & Gene Therapy and Protein Development.
  • Supporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
