About The Position

JDT Consultants, Inc. provides Therapeutic Behavioral Services and mental health and behavioral intervention services to youth throughout the Central Valley. TBS Coaches / Family Specialists work independently in the field with youth up to age 21 who exhibit severe behaviors in their homes, schools, or community that put their placement at risk. Services are provided in person in clients’ homes, schools, or community settings. The role begins part-time, with strong potential for full-time work when the employee has sufficient afternoon and evening availability. Most services take place after school and in the early evening, and services may also be offered on weekends. The schedule is flexible around client needs and availability, while requiring availability on several weekdays, approximately 3:00–8:00 p.m., for training with senior coaches and ongoing services. The starting rate is $23–$25 per hour, negotiable based on education and experience. Travel time is paid and mileage is reimbursed. Staff receive a company-issued laptop and mobile phone to support HIPAA compliance, and PPE is provided for staff and families if needed. Full-time employees are offered a benefits package. The role requires reliable transportation, a valid California driver’s license, and full-coverage auto insurance at the time of hire. A mandatory background check is required. The position includes a three-day training at the Fresno office on January 4, 5, and 6, 2027, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Weekly supervision is required, either Thursdays in Fresno from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or Mondays by Zoom from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Interviews are in person at the Fresno office on December 15 and 16, 2026, with candidates to be notified by December 17. JDT Consultants encourages internal promotion; some supervisors earned their master’s degrees while employed as TBS Coaches.
