A highly respected public accounting firm with nearly 100 years of serving the St. Louis market is continuing to grow its Tax practice and is seeking a Tax Director, Senior Tax Manager, or Tax Manager to join the team. Requirements

  • Active CPA license required
  • 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Strong background in tax compliance, planning, and client advisory services
  • Experience reviewing business, individual, and trust tax returns
  • Knowledge of S Corporations, Partnerships, and C Corporations
  • Prior experience supervising and mentoring staff
  • Strong communication, analytical, research, and client-facing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • 7+ years of public accounting tax experience (mentioned in 'Bottom Line' section)

Nice To Haves

  • Thomson Reuters software experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review business, individual, and trust tax returns
  • Provide guidance and oversight for accounting and tax engagements
  • Research, document, and resolve complex tax issues
  • Work directly with closely held businesses, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and senior-level team members
  • Assist with engagement scheduling, workflow management, and departmental hiring
  • Collaborate directly with Partners and firm leadership on tax strategy and client advisory services
  • Participate in client meetings, tax planning, and consulting engagements
  • Assist with business development initiatives and prospective client opportunities
  • Support internal training and professional development efforts
