About The Position

VP Racing is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Tax Clerk to join our growing team at San Antonio, Texas Corporate Headquarters. This role is an integral part of the Tax Department and provides essential administrative, clerical, and technical support to ensure the company’s tax functions run smoothly and compliantly. You’ll work alongside our Tax Analyst to maintain accurate tax records, support compliance efforts, assist with registrations, and contribute to the successful execution of tax-related responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Registering new business applications and licensing and renewals of registrations/licenses.
Receive and catalog tax notices; investigate and resolve.
Provide clerical support filling out forms, scanning approvals and backup, mailing out paper returns.
Collaborate with the tax supervisor on audit documentation and assist with obtaining invoices/reports as needed.
Maintain data spreadsheet for property tax and assist outside preparer for renditions, coordinate payments.
Collaborate with legal and assist outside agents as it relates to tax.
Running monthly reports for use is processing tax returns. Some reports require editing in excel.
