About The Position

Watkins Distributing is a family-owned and operated beverage distribution company serving Idaho and Montana for four generations. The Tap Cleaner services and maintains draught lines at bars, restaurants, and other beverage establishments to keep systems clean and operating at peak performance. This is a part-time position supporting the Sandpoint/Ponderay market.

The role involves scheduled visits to customer accounts, cleaning and checking draught systems, addressing system issues, and advising retail accounts on system care. The Tap Cleaner travels between locations and works in varied environments, including bars, restaurants, walk-in coolers, and tight or wet spaces.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and transport equipment, product, and kegs weighing approximately 20–50 pounds, and up to 165 pounds, on a regular basis.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to travel between multiple accounts each day and safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to work in bars, restaurants, walk-in coolers, and tight or wet spaces.

Responsibilities

• Service and clean draught beer lines and equipment at designated customer accounts in the Sandpoint/Ponderay market according to a set schedule.
• Verify that draught systems operate correctly and meet company quality standards.
• Drive to multiple customer locations throughout the market using a personal or company vehicle.
• Identify and resolve draught system issues and communicate solutions clearly to customers.
• Train retail accounts on best practices for draught system upkeep and care.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and properly organized.
• Follow safety guidelines, including safe handling of cleaning agents and equipment.
• Complete duties accurately, efficiently, and on time in accordance with established service expectations.
• Take on additional duties as needed.
