About The Position

Mortenson is currently seeking a Talent Operations Partner who will be responsible for owning and executing centralized resource management and people operations activities for the business. This role enables operational leaders to focus on business execution and strategic leadership by providing workforce planning, resource insights, and coordinated people processes that align operational demand with talent supply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years of experience in workforce planning, HR, operations support roles, or related field
  • Experience working closely with operational and functional leaders in a complex organization
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, resource management, and people operations processes
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations for senior leaders
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups
  • High level of organizational agility and ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed environments
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence without direct authority
  • Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Fully own day to day resource management operations, including workforce forecasting, data audits, and resource allocation processes.
  • Maintain continuous alignment between operational needs and workforce plans to support project health and long term business objectives.
  • Provide leaders with a clear, consolidated view of resource capacity, risks, and recommendations.
  • Deliver insightful analysis, trends, and workforce data that enable leaders to make proactive, well informed staffing decisions.
  • Shift the organization from reactive staffing decisions to a structured, forward looking resource management cadence.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator and central connector between Talent Acquisition (college and experienced), HR Talent Partners, Finance, Business Development, and group leadership on resource related decisions.
  • Create and maintain a centralized, transparent communication model that streamlines updates and reduces fragmented or duplicative communication.
  • Own and manage key people operations processes such as mobility workflows, immigration preparation, and workforce data accuracy.
  • Ensure resource management tools and processes (e.g., bench and allocation systems) are consistently applied and continuously improved.
  • Free operational leaders from tactical talent and coordination tasks, enabling greater focus on strategic leadership, customer strategy, and operational execution.
  • Act as a trusted thought partner by translating complex workforce data into actionable insights.
