About The Position

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking a Talent Management Co-op student to support innovative campus recruitment initiatives, performance management, and succession planning programs. This role involves providing technical assistance in the HRIS system (SuccessFactors), answering system-related questions, supporting reporting capabilities, testing system enhancements, and troubleshooting issues. The co-op will also assist in developing communication materials, tracking program effectiveness metrics, preparing data for system separation, maintaining electronic filing systems, and supporting key Talent Management projects.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Human Resources
  • Motivated self-starter: able to prioritize work under pressure and show great attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality and a high level of professionalism
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Access)
  • Proficient in working with large data sets and skilled in tracking and analyzing data to support informed decision-making.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License or extra-provincial equivalent, without learner's restrictions is preferred
  • Experience with HR programs/software would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
  • Support innovative campus recruitment initiatives both virtually and on-site at post-secondary institutions across Canada.
  • Provide support for performance management and succession planning programs.
  • Offer technical assistance in the HRIS system, SuccessFactors.
  • Answer system and process related questions from a diverse audience.
  • Closely partner with HRIS to support reporting capabilities, test system enhancements, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Help develop visual and written communication materials for performance management and succession planning programs.
  • Help to track and develop metrics for measuring effectiveness of Talent Management programs.
  • Assist with data preparation and validation to support system separation.
  • Maintain and organize electronic filing system archival of all talent materials.
  • Provide additional Talent Management Project support on key 2025 initiatives.
