About The Position

This is an 8-month co-op position starting in September 2026, located in the Elk Valley of British Columbia. The role involves supporting mining systems, collaborating with IT teams, and contributing to the improvement of digital systems across operations. The position offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment, with some roles located on an active mine site or supporting multiple office locations. The company is committed to responsible resource development, environmental performance, and building strong partnerships.

Requirements

• Working towards an Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related fields
• A valid Class 5 Driver's License or extra-provincial equivalent, without learner's restrictions
• Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment with a willingness to work outside of a conventional office as some roles are located on an active mine site or are supporting multiple office locations throughout Sparwood

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience in a technical environment is an asset

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• Collaborate with a team to continually improve the current mining systems across the operations to improve production, quality, reliability, accessibility, and credibility of EVR Digital Systems
• Collaborate with help desk and network operations teams to determine and resolve end user issues
• Plan, coordinate, and communicate all system changes
• Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
