About The Position

The Talent & Brand Strategist is responsible for supporting the application of Greystar’s brand strategy and Talent Acquisition & Brand Strategist recruitment efforts in defined geographies. The role collaborates with Property Management, Operations, Marketing, Performance Strategy, Employee Relations, and People & Culture Departments to develop, launch, and maintain talent attraction and internal bench strategies in the local marketplace. This role is responsible for influencing the Greystar brand for current and future team members, aligning our talent strategy with our brand to attract, engage, and retain top-tier talent. The ideal candidate is passionate, people-centric, and can help amplify Greystar’s culture through storytelling and relationship building. The Talent and Brand Strategist makes sure that how a company attracts and keeps team members matches how it presents itself both locally and globally. They help build a strong internal culture and a positive external reputation, making the company a place where team members want to work and stay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, performance management or talent acquisition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools.
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally.
  • Expected to have a presence in a GS office regularly.
  • Passion for people, organizational culture, and relationship-building.
  • Ability to lead with empathy, positivity, and authenticity.
  • Creative thinker with strong organizational and event planning skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to get around specific geographies to represent the organization at external talent attraction events.
  • This role is not a remote, work-from-home position.

  • Familiarity with tools like Workday, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar resources.

Responsibilities

  • As a cross-functional partner, this role will work with internal teams such as Property Management, Operations, Marketing, Performance Strategy, Employee Relations and People & Culture to create initiatives that represent Greystar as a premier place to work, as well as lead efforts of external outreach to attract best-in-class talent and improve the candidate experience, design methods of measuring retention and influence the growth and quality of our bench.
  • Bring the Greystar talent and brand strategy to life by working with internal teams to design and implement campaigns across product types.
  • Lead the creation of engaging employer brand content, including blogs, video testimonials, and targeted job ads that bring Greystar’s mission statement, core values, and Pillars of Excellence to life.
  • Oversee the brand reputation & attraction functions to pull external talent toward Greystar as a premier place to work.
  • Champion the Greystar brand strategy across all talent touchpoints—ensuring consistency, creativity, impact, and compliance.
  • Partner with business leaders to align talent strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Embody the culture and people-first ethos of Greystar, and drive efforts to ensure organizational culture is brought to the forefront with all internal and external initiatives.
  • Represent Greystar at events, job fairs, and community outreach programs.
  • Promote the company’s Pillars of Excellence and Core Values to external audiences.
  • Collaborate, create, and share engaging content across social media and digital platforms
  • Serve as a backup to Talent Advisors, where needed.
  • Build, maintain, support and utilize internal pipelines, bench assessments, succession planning and other talent management reporting to aid in retention and bench strategies.
  • Employ external candidate pipeline and Talent Acquisition tools to evaluate and improve the candidate experience.
  • Maintain insight and partnerships with onsite and leadership to drive, assess and promote internal bench strategies.
  • Speak to and advocate for Employee Engagement, sentiment and well-being to regional leadership.
  • Serve as a backup to Talent Acquisition, where needed.
  • Plan and attend recruitment events, career fairs, networking mixers, and brand activations.
  • Set up and manage event booths, promotional materials, and branded experiences.
  • Support all employee events, meetings and company awards from a branding and talent focus.
  • Participate and facilitate at regular meetings, trainings or other employee-focused programming, both virtual and in-person.
  • Participate at and contribute to business pitches.
  • Facilitate for inbound or transitioning teams, assets and portfolios highlighting Greystar’s brand, culture and talent initiatives.
  • Develop blog posts, video testimonials, and social media campaigns to highlight employee stories and workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, People & Culture and Employee Relations teams to align messaging and branding.
  • Craft messaging highlights company culture, career growth, diversity, and employee success stories.
  • Advocate for and educate to the employment of regional communications and branding standards and templates.
  • Track Team Member Engagement metrics and event ROI.
  • Use data to refine outreach strategies and improve candidate experience.
  • Use internal pipeline, bench assessments, succession planning and other talent management reporting.
  • Use data and analytics to consult with business leaders on talent needs and placement.
  • Establish regular (monthly/quarterly) reporting summaries to measure progress and impact.
  • Follow established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to the area(s) or responsibility.
  • Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Company, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
