About The Position

NBCUniversal is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Recruiter to join our Montreal team. This role is ideal for a consultative, data-driven recruiter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and brings deep expertise hiring across technical and game development disciplines within technology and interactive entertainment. As a trusted partner to the business, you will own the full recruitment lifecycle while shaping talent strategies that support a diverse portfolio across AI/ML, systems/data, and game development functions. You will operate as both a strategic advisor and hands-on recruiter—bringing strong market insight, sourcing depth, and the ability to engage highly specialized talent across both Montreal and U.S. markets. Beyond day-to-day hiring, you will help advance our Talent Acquisition function through initiatives in talent branding, candidate experience, recruiting innovation, and analytics.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with strong depth across technical and/or game development recruiting
  • Proven success hiring for roles across AI/ML, systems/data, game programming, art/design, animation, production, QA, and related disciplines
  • Experience recruiting within gaming, interactive entertainment, or adjacent industries
  • Strong understanding of Montreal and U.S. talent markets, including sourcing strategies, compensation dynamics, and competitive landscapes
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic hiring plans in partnership with senior stakeholders
  • Advanced sourcing skills, with experience engaging niche, high-demand talent
  • Ability to leverage data, metrics, and market insights to influence hiring decisions
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills
  • Experience contributing to broader TA projects or initiatives
  • Bilingual (English required; French strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to commute on a weekly basis (typically one to two days per week) to the Montreal office and perform duties onsite
  • Deep familiarity with Montreal’s gaming and technology ecosystem, including studios, creative talent pipelines, and emerging tech hubs
  • Experience evaluating both technical candidates (systems, data, AI) and game development candidates (portfolios, demos, reels)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruiting across a wide range of technical and game development roles, including: AI / Machine Learning, Systems & Data, Game Programming, Art, Design, and Animation, Production & QA, Technology and other game development disciplines
  • Partner closely with hiring leaders and HR to translate evolving business needs into targeted hiring strategies and pipelines
  • Serve as a market advisor, providing insights on talent trends, compensation, and availability across Montreal, Canada, and key U.S. markets
  • Build and execute proactive sourcing strategies to engage highly specialized and hard-to-reach talent across both technical and game development domains
  • Recruit across both technical and creative pipelines, understanding the nuances of evaluating engineering skillsets and portfolio-based disciplines (art, design, animation)
  • Deliver a high-quality, engaging candidate experience from outreach through offer
  • Contribute to and lead talent acquisition initiatives, including employer branding, community engagement, and event strategy (e.g., gaming, tech, and industry conferences)
  • Use data and funnel insights to guide decision-making and optimize hiring outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and workflows, helping scale a modern, high-performing TA function
  • Act as a collaborative team member and culture carrier, sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement
  • Operate effectively in a bilingual (English/French) hiring environment, aligned with Quebec market expectations
