About The Position

This role is an opportunity to become the driving force behind technical hiring at Pax8, partnering directly with Product & Engineering to build teams shaping their AI-powered, agentic marketplace. The position involves recruiting for a bold Product & Engineering roadmap centered on AI-enabled platforms, intelligent automation, and agentic systems. The engineering teams are building toward a future where AI agents augment MSPs, cloud marketplaces become intelligent ecosystems, platforms evolve continuously, and human and AI collaboration defines product building and scaling. The recruiter will be at the heart of this journey, understanding technology trends and bringing in the talent to drive them forward. The role is different as it involves sitting alongside product & engineering leaders, understanding their ambitions and challenges, and translating that into compelling hiring strategies. The hiring will be for teams working across modern cloud-native and AI ecosystems, including Cloud & Infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Containerization, Distributed systems), Software Engineering (Microservices architectures, APIs, Event-driven systems, Modern Backend & Frontend Frameworks), Data & AI (Scalable Data Platforms, e2e Data Pipelines, AI-Enabled Products, Agentic Systems, MCP servers, LLM integrations), and Security & Platform Engineering (DevSecOps, Observability, Reliability Engineering, Internal developer platforms). Requirements

  • Substantial experience delivering end-to-end technical hiring across in-house and agency environments within fast-paced, high-growth technology organizations.
  • Proven capability in building and executing high-impact outbound sourcing strategies — including deep talent mapping, market intelligence, competitor analysis, and engaging hard-to-reach passive talent across engineering domains.
  • Demonstrated expertise in proactive sourcing techniques such as Boolean/search string mastery, multi-channel outreach, talent community building, and conversion of passive pipelines into high-quality hires.
  • A strong track record of hiring across modern engineering ecosystems — cloud-native, SaaS, platform engineering, infrastructure, data, and AI-focused environments.
  • Comfortable using with AI-enabled recruiting tools and platforms, such as: AI-assisted sourcing tools (e.g. talent intelligence platforms, enrichment tools, automation workflows), using screening interview and insights platforms like Brighthire, AI matching and recommendation tooling (e.g. HiredScore or equivalent), data-driven recruiting dashboards and pipeline analytics.
  • Confidence operating in a Human + AI recruiting model — knowing how to blend automation, data, and augmentation with human judgement, storytelling, and relationship building.
  • Strong ability to partner with Product & Engineering leaders — translating technical challenges, architecture, and roadmap into clear hiring strategies and compelling candidate narratives.
  • A commercially aware mindset — able to prioritize hiring activity based on business impact, balancing multiple critical roles and stakeholders.
  • A structured, resilient approach in environments where ambiguity, pace, and transformation are constant.
  • The ability to assess ways of working, culture, and team dynamics — not just technical skillsets — identifying talent that will thrive in Pax8’s collaborative, ownership-driven engineering community.
  • Must hold valid right to work in United States.

Responsibilities

  • Build high-signal engineering pipelines by owning end-to-end hiring across Product & Engineering, combining precision sourcing with compelling engagement strategies.
  • Turn technical ambition into hiring strategy by partnering closely with engineering leaders to understand architecture, roadmap direction, and capability gaps, designing hiring plans that solve real problems.
  • Tell a story engineers believe by engaging candidates with authenticity, discussing systems, platforms, AI ambition, and the real challenges they’ll solve at Pax8.
  • Leverage a modern TA ecosystem by operating within a Human + AI-enabled stack including Workday, Rooster, Brighthire and emerging AI tools that enhance speed, insight, and experience.
