This position will be based out of both our Burnaby Still Creek Head Office as well as our Downtown Vancouver office. Both locations easily accessible by transit. We are looking for someone available to join immediately for the summer.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a diploma or degree program in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Some exposure to HR or recruitment concepts through coursework, co-op, or volunteer experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms or social media sourcing (LinkedIn, Indeed) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and awareness of the Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Legislation is an asset.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Reliable team player who can organize and manage multiple priorities at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruitment for entry and mid-level roles, including: Sitting in on intake meetings with hiring managers
  • Post job openings, screen applications and conducting initial phone interviews
  • Conduct candidate sourcing via LinkedIn and other channels
  • Help communicate career opportunities to candidates and support a positive candidate experience
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
  • Support preparation and distribution of offer letters.
  • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Support HUB's Employee Referral Program administration.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
